Scandinavian Designs opened it's first store in San Rafael, California in 1963, featuring Scandinavian giftware and Danish designed furniture, now referred to as mid-century modern. Today we import from many countries around the world and also offer a wide selection of furniture that is American made. We are proud to offer you finely crafted furniture that is both functional and affordable. Each person in our company not only shares this belief, but is passionate about providing you quality products and service. We care about doing our part to help design a better world to live in. We believe in protecting and conserving our natural resources. At our headquarters in Petaluma California, we have installed solar power, creating a renewable, sustainable energy for our warehouse. Many of our stores are also solar powered (and it is our mission to go solar with all of our stores in the near future!). In our stores and warehouses we have installed energy efficient LED lighting and we take pride in recycling 100% of our paper, cardboard and packaging materials. While our products have used renewable woods and sustainable materials for many years, our commitment is to continue to develop new ways of upholding an "eco-friendly" standards in everything we do.

Designed by award winning Denver architects, Roth Sheppard, the new 40,000 sq. ft. store offers a unique shopping experience, featuring contemporary, well designed furniture with a lasting value. Rooted in the true spirit of European design, Plummers offers a wide selection of furniture for every room in the home and office. The vision at Plummers has remained the same for over 60 years; to offer inspired, well designed furniture that is truly affordable.
